Rallies in Hungary began to be held in the 1930s with the DAMC rally (won by “Pinter” driving an Austro-Daimler) in 1930, held from July 5 to 7, and continued regularly until 1936, when there was a break, only returning definitively in 1962, and is still held today.

The big events? Of course they exist or existed, or have changed their name. Examples?

In my understanding, the Mecsek rally, held uninterruptedly since 1967, is the main and most traditional event in the national championship. Another event of great relevance is the Mogurt Salgo rally (currently just Salgo), held from 1974 to 1993, then with some breaks until its last edition, which was in 2023. And, finally, the Hungary rally, an event that is a candidate for inclusion in the WRC. 

Among the drivers, there are many interesting drivers that the country has produced, including Laszlo Ranga, two-time national champion and the country's greatest winner of races, and the great (one of the 'Gods') Attila Ferjancz, winner of 15 national championships and a very important European career, winning important races in several countries on the continent.

Os rallies na Hungria começaram a ser disputados na década de 30 do seculo passado com a realização do rally DAMC (vencido por “Pinter” ao volante de um Austro-Daimler) no ano de 1930, disputado entre os dias 5 a 7/7, e seguiram regularmente até o ano de 1936, quando houve uma interrupção, só retornando de forma definitiva em 1962, sendo realizado até os dias de hoje.

As grandes provas? Claro que elas existem ou existiram, ou trocaram de nome. Exemplos?

Em meu entendimento o rally Mecsek, realizado ininterruptamente desde 1967 é a principal e mais tradicional prova do campeonato nacional. Outra prova de grande relevancia é o rally Mogurt Salgo (atualmente apenas Salgo), realizado de 1974 a 1993, depois com alguns intervalos até a sua ultima edição, que foi a de 2023. E, por fim, o rally Hungria, prova candidata a inclusão do WRC.

Dentre os pilotos, dos muitos pilotos interessantes que o país já produziu, destaque para Laszlo Ranga, bi-campeão nacional e o maior vencedor de provas no país, e o grande (um dos ‘Deuses’) Attila Ferjancz, vencedor de 15 campeonatos nacionais e de uma grande relevancia em carreira européia, vencendo provas importantes em vários países do continente.

Given the relatively recent start of the sport in the country, there is still very little information that would allow for a deeper reflection on the subject.

Rallies in Iceland began in 1980 with the Ljoma rally, won by the Finn Ryhl Andersen-Jan Johansson duo in a Datsun 160J (held between 20 and 24 August). The national championship began in 1983 and was organized with some irregularity throughout the 20th century.
