According to records in the Rallymemory archive, from the beginning of the 1920s, with the Alpine Rally in 1921 (it was held until 2022), and throughout the 1950s the long marathons, including the classic 'Southern Cross Rally', the creation of its national championship in 1968 (one of the oldest in the world) and the comings and goings to the WRC and the Asian Pacific.

Big names behind the wheel, I highlight here Ross Dunkerton, a legend of world rallies who, unfortunately, had his career restricted to local pArcticipations (WRC and ASPAC), Geoff Portman (multi-time champion), Wayne Bell, Chris Atkinson, Neal Bates and many others, as well as great races held forever, such as the Southern Cross Rally, with the pArcticipation of big names in world rallies (Andrew Cowan, Joginder Singh, Shekhar Mehta, Rauno Aaltonen, Harry Kallstrom... There are many!), which, in my opinion, should have been part of the WRC. In addition to the Southern Cross, other races such as Canberra (several times part of the ASPAC calendar), Forest, Queensland and Bega Valley, among many others.

A reference to the Holden Dealer Team, responsible for preparing the Torana, XU and other models, with very active pArcticipation during the 60s and 70s of the last century. One last piece of information: In 1972, Andrew Cowan's involvement with Mitsubishi began a story that, over the years, left an enviable legacy in the world of rallying.

De acordo com registros existentes no arquivo Rallymemory, a partir do inicio da década de 20 do século passado, com a realização do Rally Alpine, em 1921 (foi disputado até 2022), e ao longo da década de 50 as longas maratonas, passando pelo classico ‘Southern Cross Rally’, a criação de seu campeonato nacional em 1968 (um dos mais antigos do mundo) e as idas e vindas ao WRC e ao Asian Pacific.

Grandes nomes ao volante, destaco aqui Ross Dunkerton, uma lenda dos rallys mundiais que, infelizmente, teve a sua carreira restrita a pArcticipações locais (WRC e ASPAC), Geoff Portman (multi campeão), Wayne Bell, Chris Atkinson, Neal Bates e muitos outros, lem de grandes provas realizadas desde sempre, como o Southern Cross Rally, com a pArcticipação de grandes nomes dos ralis mundiais (Andrew Cowan, Joginder Singh, Shekhar Mehta, Rauno Aaltonen, Harry Kallstrom… tem muitos!), prova essa que, em minha opinião deveria ter integrado o WRC. Além do Southern Cross, outras provas como Canberra (varias vezes integrante do calendário ASPAC), Forest, Queensland e Bega Valley, dentre muitas outras.

Uma referencia ao Holden Dealer Team, responsavel pela preparação dos modelos Torana, XU e outros, com pArcticipação bastante ativa durante as decadas de 60 e 70 do século passado. Uma ultima informação: Em 1972 o envolvimento de Andrew Cowan com a Mitsubishi deu início a uma historia que, ao longo dos anos, deixou um legado invejavel no mundo dos ralis.
